Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives

We are founded to empower the humanity

The Juliana Omowamide Ajayi Foundation is committed to empowering underprivileged communities through education and empowerment. We strive to create lasting change and hope for a brighter future.

Our mission

At the heart of our organization lies the belief that true generosity is born from personal experience. Inspired by the words of George Elliot — "One must be poor to know the luxury of giving" — and the enduring memory of a beloved mother, our mission is to restore hope and dignity to orphans, vulnerable children, and widows through access to education, support, and empowerment. Since 1992, we have committed a portion of our resources to creating opportunities for the underprivileged — ensuring that no child is left behind due to poverty, and no widow stands alone in her struggle. We strive to break cycles of deprivation by addressing both educational and social needs with compassion and sustained impact.

Founder

Founder

Chief Olufemi Benedict Ajayi is the visionary behind the Juliana Omowamide Ajayi Foundation. Growing up in challenging circumstances, he was inspired by his late mother's compassion and resilience. Overcoming adversity, he dedicated his life to uplifting orphans, vulnerable children, and widows, ensuring they have access to education and support. Since 1992, his unwavering commitment and personal experiences have shaped the foundation's mission to empower the less privileged and foster hope in their lives. His story is a testament to the power of empathy, perseverance, and the enduring impact of giving back to the community.

Why are we doing this?

The founder, having triumphed over such indigence in a hard way through the motivation of his late mother, has considered what could be done to remember her always. Thus he has decided to put part of his resources aside from time to time for educational activities to help others since 1992. From his self-sustained childhood experience, the founder understands what orphans, fatherless or under-privileged pupils are going through. Sometimes they go to schools shoeless, with slippers, torn clothes and without books and food. They look disillusioned and abandoned. Some pupils and students run away from school to do menial jobs or go to markets/farms to assist their guardians or sell what they get from farms while some just either become miscreants, labourers and apprentices in different trades. For the widows, motherhood comes loaded with duties, responsibilities and physical stress. Many women don't have money for their children's education. Some parents have to take over the rle of the other parent following the death of their partner or due to incapacitation. We are therefore helping selflessly, not for profit or gratification but to lift the spirit of the less privileged ones and give them a sense of belonging so they don't suffer in silence.
